1 bag Boil-in-bag Brown rice
1/3 c. dry milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 cup shredded sweetened coconut
1/2 cup chopped dry friut (apricots, rainsin, cranberries, mango—you decide)
At home: Combine milk, coconut and spices in a zipperlock bag.
In camp: Cook rice as directed on the package. As water begins to boil, add dried fruit to pot. Remove bag of rice and drain, leaving fruit and about 1/2 cup of the liquid in the pot. Add spice bag. Slit open rice and add, stirring to combine for a yummy dessert or breakfast. Serves four.
