Recipe: Ham, Cheese & Apple Sandwich

2 everything bagels
4 ounces Gouda cheese, sliced into four pieces
4 slices smoked ham
1 small Granny Smith apple
1 teaspoon butter
2 packets each mayonnaise and mustard
In camp To make one sandwich: Slice bagel in half. Spread on
one packet each of mustard and mayo. Set aside. Cut apple into thin slices and
sauté in butter over medium heat, stirring constantly, until soft (about 7 minutes).
Set aside. Place 1 slice of ham in pan on medium-low heat; cover with one cheese
slice. Cover pan and cook until cheese melts. Repeat. Layer ham, cheese, and
half of the apples on bagel. Toast sandwich in pan over medium heat for 5 minutes,
flipping once.
