[deluxe cook kit for two]

Go gourmet with this kit’s 2-liter pot, which has a slick ceramic nonstick coating: “Even cheese fondue came clean with a quick wipe,” says a tester. MSR claims ceramic is greener than Teflon (which releases PTFEs and PFOs that are harmful to people and the environment) and more durable, though a metal spoon still left scratch marks.

The pot has a clear plastic strainer lid with a nifty rubber pinch grip that never gets hot, and a strong fold-out handle. A pair of bowls and insulated mugs nest inside (ding: mugs are tippy on anything but flat surfaces). $70; 1 lb. 5 oz.; msrgear.com
