Colorado’s Stanley Hotel is best known as the inspiration for The Shining, but it was a different visitor that haunted its lobby this week. Front desk staff captured video of a black bear walking through the hotel’s common area and climbing on a couch. The hotel, which is situated near Rocky Mountain National Park, joked about the event on Facebook, writing that it would “make an exception to the rule about jumping on furniture.”
