White Mountain NF Approves First Tree Skiing Zones
The forest will develop backcountry skiing areas on Bartlett and Baldface Mountains.

Recognizing high demand from backcountry skiers, the White Mountain National Forest announced it will develop two glade skiing zones (the first in the Whites), one on Bartlett Mountain and one one Baldface Mountain. One goal: to prevent people from illegally logging areas to create their own backcountry zones.
