Yosemite's Tioga Pass to Open This Week
The eastern gateway to the national park is finally snow-free.

Just in time for the 4th of July, officials announced that Yosemite National Park’s eastern entrance, Tioga Pass, would open to traffic Thursday. This year ties for the second-latest opening since 1980, second only to 1995, when the road opened June 30.
