Kimberly Haines left for a 15-mile trail run up Mount Teneriffe early on Monday, July 31, but wasn’t home by 6 p.m.—and that’s when her family started to worry. It took dogs, horses, ATVs, and helicopters several days to track her down. Haines, an experienced hiker, suffered a head injury and was taken to an Issaquah hospital.
