Colorado’s outdoor gear companies reacted to President Trump’s proposed China tariffs with concern last week, arguing that the tax on imported goods could add hundreds of dollars to the price of backpacks or down jackets. The exact plan remains vague, but the Outdoor Industry Association said its goal would be to get some outdoor gear exempted from the tariffs.
