Suburban Cyclists Still Face Challenges, Study Finds

Multiple barriers make safe, easy bike rides harder outside of Chicago.

Chicago may have a great reputation for bike-friendliness, but the suburbs still have a way to go, says a new study from Active Transportation Alliance. Among the barriers cited: car-focused city design, lack of bike paths, high bike crash rates, and gaps in regional trail networks.
