State Park "First Day" Events Aim to Start 2018 Off Right
Local state parks will participate in a nationwide program to inspire people to kick off the new year with a hike.

What better way to start a new year than with a brisk hike? Indiana’s state parks are hosting 32 “First Day” events to help locals do just that; the hikes are part of a national America’s State Parks program. One option close to Chicagoland: the 3-Dune Challenge Hike at Indiana Dunes State Park.
