Starved Rock Considers Limiting Visitors or Raising Fees

More than 10 million people have visited Starved Rock State Park over the past four years, and the park is struggling to keep up, officials said, citing overstressed facilities and trails and a growing maintenance budget. If the state legislature doesn’t address the funding crunch, the park might begin limiting visitors or raising entry fees, the park superintendent said.
