Hikers: Beware Renaissance Fest Traffic to Popular Trailheads

Phoenix Local Scout Scott Jones has a tip for all hikers heading to the Gold Canyon area: Leave early. Arizona Renaissance Festival, which starts February 10 and runs through April 1, often brings heavy traffic and delays of up to an hour to Gold Canyon, where several popular trailheads are located.
