REI Leases Riverfront Building on Wild Mile

The new property is on the Chicago River's North Branch Canal and about a quarter mile from the company's Goose Island location.

REI signed a 15-year lease on a building along the Chicago River’s North Branch Canal earlier this spring, Cook County documents show. The location is part of the Wild Mile, a mile-long stretch along the canal from Division Street to North Avenue, and a quarter mile from REI’s Goose Island store. REI has announced no plans for a new store and did not provide details about the lease.
