Hikers: Watch Out for Rattlesnakes, Officials Say

Wildlife experts warned people to look out for the snakes emerging from winter dens after two people were bitten near Colorado Springs.

Colorado’s rattlesnakes are coming out of their winter dens–so watch where you step, wildlife officials warned this week. Two people have already suffered rattlesnake bites near Colorado Springs over the past couple of weeks (both survived).
