Rattlesnake Ridge Landslide Likely a Few Weeks Away

A slow-moving mass of basalt is gradually sliding down Rattlesnake Ridge near Yakima, but geologists now estimate the full landslide might not occur until late January or early February. Gov. Jay Inslee toured the area last weekend; the landslide threatens I-82 and dozens of people living near the slope.
