Mt. Rainer to Accept Online Backcountry Permit Requests

The reservation system opens March 15.

Starting March 15, Mt. Rainier National Park will accept online backcountry permit requests. Requests received between the 15th and the 31st will be processed in random order; Wonderland Trail hopefuls are encouraged to apply within these first two weeks after a record number of people applied for the trail last season.
