Rainbow Bridge Earns International Dark Sky Sanctuary Status

This month, Utah’s Rainbow Bridge National Monument was named an International Dark Sky Sanctuary by the International Dark Sky Association, the first National Park Service unit to earn the designation. The move honors Rainbow Bridge’s superlative stargazing and lack of light pollution. The park will hold astronomy events throughout the year to celebrate.
