The simplest way to prevent a life-threatening rabies infection is simple, say wildlife experts: Leave wildlife alone, especially if the animal looks sick. The warning comes after a rabies outbreak in northwest Georgia last year sickened dozens of animals. Fortunately, rabies in humans remains very rare.
