USFWS Reveals Recovery Plan for Endangered Mexican Gray Wolf

For the first time in 35 years, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has updated its recovery plan for the endangered Mexican gray wolf. The draft plan calls for the U.S. population of the wolves to increase to 320 animals from the current 113 in the experimental population area, located in southern Arizona and New Mexico. The public comment period for the plan will be open until August 29.
