More than 100 Hike Pack Monadnock Mountain in Protest

Last weekend, more than 100 people gathered to hike Miller State Park’s Pack Monadnock Mountain in protest of plans to add utility poles and power lines to the peak’s access road. New Hampshire’s Division of Parks and Recreation is working with local utilities to fix electric and telecommunications problems in the park, but hikers argue that the access road’s scenic value should be preserved.
