The proposed Empire State Trail, a 750-mile hiking and biking path connecting New York City to Canada, began inching forward this week as planners held a public meeting to discuss construction plans. Governor Cuomo introduced the idea in his 2017 State of the State address, and the project is scheduled to be finished by 2020.
