New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation is seeking volunteers for its new Campground Ambassadors program. In exchange for a free campsite in the Catskills or Adirondacks, ambassadors will help new campers get started with outdoor activities and put on environmental programs. Stints last two to four weeks, July through Labor Day; applications are due March 30.
