North Branch Trail Is Complete
Now 22 miles long, the North Branch Trail finally reaches all the way to Gompers Park.

As the most-used trail within Cook County Forest Preserves, North Branch has always been popular—but had a missing link. A new extension now continues through LaBagh Woods to Gompers Park, with underpasses and safe entry points. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for Saturday, August 19, at 10 am at Irene C. Hernandez Picnic Grove.
