From tents to lanterns, firewood to personal guides, the State of New York gave 40 new campers an outdoor adventure to remember.

Never camped before? For 40 New Yorkers, they got the intro of a lifetime: a state-sponsored, guided “learn to camp” weekend of hiking, fishing, and fire-building. Even better, their experience came free with everything they needed, including six-person tents and camp chairs, thanks to a promotion fund provided by ReserveAmerica.
