Parts of the Coconino, Kaibab, and Tonto National Forests that had been closed due to extreme wildfire danger earlier this spring reopened on July 11, and fire restrictions have also been relaxed in most areas, thanks to recent rains and lowered fire risk. Among the newly re-accessible spots: Fossil Creek, San Francisco Peaks, and Walnut Canyon.Â
