Officials released the autopsies of two hikers found dead last year at Joshua Tree National Park in an apparent murder-suicide, but the examination offers few clues into what happened. The two died from gunshot wounds to the head. Family members believe that one hiker shot the other, then himself, out of desperation after they got lost in the park and ran out of water. The autopsy doesn’t confirm or deny that theory.
