Ailing Mountain Lion Euthanized in Steamboat Springs

A mountain biker came upon the big cat lying across an Emerald Mountain trail.

Authorities euthanized a cougar that a mountain biker discovered lying across the Morning Gloria Trail on Emerald Mountain near Steamboat Springs last week. Though it was still breathing, the cougar didn’t respond to stimuli.
