Mount Evans Road Should Open by Memorial Day

Crews plan to clear the highway as far as Summit Lake.

If you’re looking for some easy altitude this Memorial Day weekend, you’re in luck: Colorado Department of Transportation expects to have the Mount Evans Road cleared of snow by next Monday. The route should be opened up to Summit Lake; it typically takes longer to plow the last five miles to the mountain summit.
