Video: Adirondacks Hiker Comes Face-to-Face With Moose

Pittsburgh hiker Sam Perkins came within five feet of an young male Adirondack moose in the Dix Mountain Wilderness Area—and after ducking behind a rock, he took video and photos of his encounter. Perkins guesses the moose weighed 600 pounds, and calls it “a once in a lifetime experience.”
