Extreme, 130-degree temperatures have forced officials to call off some of the continuing search efforts for a Virginia woman who disappeared in early June in the Mojave Desert’s Amboy Crater area. Her companion was found dead near a trail almost two weeks after the pair went missing. Officials plan to resume the search in late July.
