New Hampshire Search & Rescue officials called off their search for a missing Massachusetts hiker last month after the 70-year-old man called his wife from the Mount Washington Hotel. The man’s wife had reported him missing and informed officials that he had a medical condition, which triggered a helicopter and snowcat search. The man said he had left his wife a message telling her of his hotel plans, but she never received it.
