Lost San Gabriel Mountains Hikers Rescued

The pair were airlifted by helicopter from the Mt. Baldy area.

A pair of hikers set out at 2 am last Monday to complete a circuit of peaks near Mt. Baldy in the San Gabriel Mountains, but got lost and ran out of water after they’d tagged their ninth summit. San Bernardino County Sheriff officials found them near Icehouse Canyon and hoisted them to safety using a helicopter.
