Better Late than Never for Yosemite's Tioga Pass
The pass is set to open Thursday, one of the latest openings in decades.

Above-average snowpack in Tuolumne Meadows, flooding, and road repairs have kept Tioga Pass, the eastern gateway into Yosemite National Park, closed much longer into the summer this year than usual. Set to finally be cleared Thursday, it’s the latest summer opening since 1998 (when Tioga Pass was cleared July 1).
