Land Deal Opens Access to Hollister Ranch Beach to Paddlers, Guided Visitors

State officials and Hollister Ranch residents reached a land deal opening access to three quarters of a mile of its pristine beach to guided groups and those willing to paddle two miles. In return, officials gave up their (disputed) claim to one land access route. The area’s wealthy homeowners have been fighting to keep the beach private for years.
