Lakefront Trail Improvements Underway
Several miles of separate cyclist/pedestrian lanes have opened, and a Navy Pier bridge is under construction.

Chicago’s beloved Lakefront Trail will get a little better this season as the city continues improvement projects through the summer. About 4 miles of trail with separate lanes for cyclists and pedestrians are already open, with plans to add 14 more. And construction on the Navy Pier Flyover, a bridge over Illinois and Grand Avenue, is ongoing.
