Lack of Snow at Resorts Makes Skiing More Dangerous, Expert Says

The SnowSport Safety Foundation argues that resorts should do more to reduce risk during low-snow conditions.

According to Dan Gregorie of the SnowSport Safety Foundation, low snowpack–like the conditions across Colorado so far this season–raise the risk of injury or death at ski resorts. He advocates for ski areas to develop better safety plans and accident reporting systems, suggestions which have gained little traction among resorts so far.
