Jefferson County Closes Several Parks for Wildlife

A handful of Jefferson County Open Space parks have closed (or will soon) to protect wildlife like calving elk and nesting raptors. The affected areas are: Elk Range Trail at Centennial Cone Park (elk), several climbing crags at Clear Creek Canyon Park (golden eagles), Rim Rock Trail at North Table Mountain Park (nesting birds/raptors), Cathedral Spires Park (raptors), and Crown Hill Park (waterfowl).
