Details: This is an introduction to ocean kayaking with instruction in basic strokes. After a paddle along the coast with a stop for lunch we will return to the put-in area to learn group rescue techniques. This will take place in Rockport, MA with rental boats available. The location can be reached by commuter rail but you must let us know if you will need a ride from the train station. We will let you know which train others will be arriving on to have as few shuttles as possible. Bring non-cotton clothes, shoes that will stay on when you swim, glasses-keepers, hat, sun lotion, water, lunch and dry clothes to change into later. $68 for AMC members, $78 for non-AMC members for equipment and instruction, discount for paddlers who bring their own kayaks.
