One Injury, One Lost Hiker on One Cascade Peak Sunday

When it rains, it pours: Snohomish County officials were already on the job looking for a 27-year-old lost hiker on Mt. Pilchuck Sunday evening when a second call came in: A 19-year-old hiker needs treatment for an injured ankle. Fortunately, the lost man found his way back to the trailhead while rescuers tended to the injured man. The popular hike up Mt. Pilchuck, part of Mt. Pilchuck State Park in the Central Cascades, is a steep but non-technical trip.
