In the late 1800s, Incline was a center of milling of processed Tahoe timber—and to support the huge enterprise, an extensive network of transportation was built, including revolutionary water flumes and mechanical lifts. The Incline Flume Trail gives a close look at that history, with wildflowers, views, and “great experience with little effort.”
