Lifelong hiker Rick Marks of Winchester was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) last fall, but he isn’t letting that stop him from his goal of hiking the last 600 miles of the AT this summer. The hike is a fundraiser for the nonprofit ALS ONE, and though Marks set out to raise $50,000, he has rustled up more than $60,000 to date.
