New Hampshire Fish and Game responded to a call June 16 to assist two hikers who became lost on Garfield Ridge in Franconia, New Hampshire. The pair intended to hike up the Falling Waters Trail and descend on the Greenleaf Trail and the Old Bridle Path. They missed their intended turn and called 911 when they realized they were lost. The hikers were dressed in shorts and T-shirts, had limited gear, and did not have flashlights, headlamps, or a map. Fish and Game officers located them later that evening and transported them to their car.
