A Gurnee couple was forced to fend off an attack from three dogs in Elgin’s Bluff Spring Fen Forest Preserve last week, using a photography tripod to escape after the woman sustained bite injuries to her leg. The dogs, which officials presumed to be feral, were caught and euthanized.
