Permits, Shuttles, Fees Among Proposals to Protect Hanging Lake

The White River National Forest is floating ideas to protect the uber-popular 1.2-mile trail to Hanging Lake, which saw 150,000 visitors in 2016 alone. Among the ideas: capping hikers at 615, requiring shuttles to the trailhead, and developing a reservation system.
