Guns in Parks OK, State Supreme Court Rules
The court declared a provision banning guns in public parks unconstitutional.

Last week, the Illinois State Supreme Court declared that a provision in state gun law that prohibited guns in public parks was unconstitutional. The law was intended to curb violence taking place in the city’s parks, but the court found no evidence that the ban on guns within 1,000 feet of parks would increase safety.
