Grand Teton National Park: Table Mountain

Snap shots that would make Ansel proud on this 11.5-mile out-and-back that climbs up the west side of the Tetons.

Photographer William Henry Jackson captured the first images of the Tetons from this flat-topped, 11,106-foot peak in 1872. Follow in his footsteps on this 11.5-mile round-trip on the west side.

From the Teton Campground trailhead, climb past meadows and willows (watch for moose and black bears) flanking North Fork Teton Creek. The trail gains Table’s prominent ridgeline at mile 4.2 and culminates 1.5 miles later with perfectly framed tall-peak views.
