Here’s a reminder that the Denver suburbs are closer to the wilderness than one might think: Homeowners in Golden spotted a black bear raiding garbage cans over the weekend in the Heritage Dells neighborhood. The bear was last seen moving toward Lookout Mountain, but police urged residents to keep their trash inside or securely close their garbage bins anyway.
