This has been a good year for Apa Sherpa. The Nepalese mountaineer stood atop Mt. Everest a record 20th time, and his efforts to improve education in his Himalayan homeland gained momentum. In late October, Suunto is releasing a limited-edition Core Extreme Everest altimeter/barometer/compass watch ($429), with a portion of sales going to the Apa Sherpa Foundation.
