Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area takes the top prize as Georgia’s most-visited national park, according to a recent analysis. The 48-mile-long stretch of the river from Atlanta to Lake Lanier has federal protection; its most popular unit is the Cochran Shoals area near Marietta.
