Last weekend was action packed for California Highway Patrol rescuers, who responded to four separate incidents starting with a very ill PCT hiker who activated his SPOT device for help. After that, the crew rescued a climber who fell off a cliff at Donner Summit while rappelling and a man who was swept into the South Fork Yuba River from Emerald Pools. Another man, who was reported missing after swimming the Merced River, has not yet been found.
